License and Copyright
The Lafia Journal of Scientific and Industrial Research (LJSIR) recognises and respects the intellectual ownership rights of authors over their scholarly works. Authors who publish in the journal retain the copyright to their articles while granting the journal a non-exclusive Licence to Publish upon acceptance of the manuscript. This licence authorises LJSIR to publish, reproduce, archive, index, distribute, and disseminate the work in both print and electronic formats, including through recognised academic databases, repositories, indexing platforms, and other legitimate scholarly channels.
Because the publishing licence granted to the journal is non-exclusive, authors retain the freedom to reuse, share, distribute, and reproduce their published work for academic, educational, and non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate acknowledgment is given to LJSIR as the original source of publication. Authors may also deposit the published version of their work in institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic networking platforms, subject to proper citation of the journal.
Authors are solely responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original, do not infringe upon the copyright or proprietary rights of third parties, and do not contain unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading material. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that they possess the necessary rights, permissions, and approvals required for publication.
Where a manuscript is rejected or withdrawn before publication, the Licence to Publish automatically becomes void, and all rights remain entirely with the author(s). This policy supports the journal’s commitment to open-access dissemination while preserving authors’ intellectual property rights and ensuring that the journal retains the necessary permissions to maintain, preserve, and distribute the scholarly record.
